Unique 5 Bed 2 Bath Villa in Elda with Stunning Gardens (Ref. PV18040)
Unique 5 Bed 2 Bath Property with Stunning Gardens and Pool Area Now Reduced To 185,000€ This Is A Steal
Every now and again we get something that leaves us speechless and this is one of them. Although the interior of the property is incredibly dated every single other thing about the house is amazing.
First of all the location, this is where the well-heeled, no pun intended as Elda is the hub of the shoemaking industry, of Elda want to own a Country House as it is very countrified yet only 10 minutes walk to a very good restaurant, an Aldi supermarket and a Petrol Station with a Carrefour Express. There are properties in this zone that cost up to 1 million Euros. If the owners had undertaken the modernisation then the house would easily be twice the price it is offered at now.
There are two sets of gates, one that leads straight to the garage and the others to the front of the house and what a front of a house. The gardens are like something out of Retiro Park in Madrid, in fact the benches were copied.
There are archways through the gardens to the pool area and a stunning wrought iron pergola for dining and relaxing in the shade. The Pool is 7 x 10.4 and has a superb stone mermaid feature at one side that I am struggling to describe so take a look at the photos and video. Seriously people, imagine sitting under the shade of the pergola looking out at that Swimming Pool, it´s like a dream.
Ok, ,the house itself, perhaps nothing has changed in the interior since the house was first built unless it´s a lightbulb but it is not difficult to imagine how it could look when all the clutter is disposed of including the chandelier that drops all the way from the upstairs ceiling to the floor that I think is awful but you may well love it.
There is a lovely lounge/diner with feature fireplace and some of the stone surround is beautiful but again it is a matter of taste. Take a look at the staircase which really is magnificent and to the right of it is a bathroom and then the kitchen. Next to the entrance is a lovely stained glass window and a seating area. There are two rooms downstairs that have been used as bedrooms but one would make an office and the other a separate dining room or it can be kept as a downstairs bedroom if there is someone unable to climb stairs.
The kitchen and bathroom are serviceable but I would have to rip them out and replace them.
At the top of the staircase is this wonderful landing, a large area that reminds me of the big Victorian houses in England and it has patio doors out to the long balcony from which the views are breath-taking, you can see the mountains and out across the gardens of the house and I could sit there for hours in the shade with the cool breeze from the mountains.
There are four bedrooms on this floor, three are doubles with fitted furniture and then there is a single that has been used as an office by the elderly lady for all her post etc. The Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there is a large Guest bathroom as well with interesting tiles.
Back outside and take a walk through an archway along the lovely covered pathway to the garage and you will find the Summer Kitchen, now this is special. A Summer Kitchen is a very Spanish thing and it is used more than the kitchen in the house when living in the countryside and it is where you cook your paellas and BBQ all your meat and fish. This one is as rustic as it comes and it has a stairway that takes you to a room that I have no idea what it is for other than for storage or as somewhere to put naughty children.
Take a look at the door to the Summer Kitchen, it´s stunning and then the interior with the wooden cocktail bar and massive BBQ. The same wood has been used throughout even on the windows. I love it.
So, to summarise, at the price of 185k it really is extraordinary value but it will need the best part of 20-30,000 to modernise or at least bring the interior into this century. However, without a shadow of a doubt the property, because of its features and particularly the location would easily be valued in the 350,000€ region.
