On entering the property you can´t help but be overwhelmed with the size of the Lounge/Diner which was originally three rooms that have been knocked through and there is an archway through to a smaller lounge area that houses the beautiful feature log burning fireplace that heats up the whole house in the colder months.

The fully fitted modern kitchen is less typical of the usual Spanish ones as it is very well sized and there is a door leading outside to a lovely patio area with a big BBQ house for all year round cooking and a wood store. Iron steps lead up to another terrace which the owners have converted into a temporary large workshop. 

The upper floor has four bedrooms or if it were to be converted two bedrooms with a lounge/diner and a kitchen and a bathroom. All the rooms are well-sized. 

Sax is a fabulous, wealthy town, with very little unemployment and subsequently a very low crime rate, the people are welcoming and friendly and we have lived here for over 15 years very happily and made friends easily. The real beauty of Sax apart from the magnificent 13th-century castle is the infrastructure with easy access to Alicante Airport (30 minutes) and the nearest beaches (35 minutes). Like all small inland towns, it has a host of good restaurants at ridiculously low prices serving mainly local produce. The cafes are bustling in the mornings and there are three academies for those who would like to learn Spanish. Healthcare in inland Spain is second to none and Sax has a brand new Medical Centre and 24-hour walk-in centre as well as an award-winning hospital just 10 minutes away in Elda.
